Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Back out on the road coming to you this week from Boston in Massachusetts where The Stadium Tour resumes. Two nights at Fenway Park. What a fantastic way to start the second leg of this tour. So happy to be out on the road again. And I've decided that the show tonight is gonna be all live material. And what better place to start than with one of the greatest rock live albums of all time. Ladies and gentleman this is UFO."

UFO

"Now if you're a well informed UFO fan like me you'll know that any recent re-releases of that particular album have rearranged the gig as it was played on the night. In other words track 1 is Hot And Ready. But that is from the original pressing back in 1978. And they actually edited it down. For timing purposes more than anything else. It is Strangers In the Night as I said at the beginning of the show. One of the greatest rock live albums ever released. it is UFO and it is the original opening track Natural Thing."

AC/DC

"So after such an amazing start where do we go from here?. Well this might just work. This is AC/DC."

"And before that AC/DC from their live album If You Want Blood You Got It we heard Rock 'N' Roll Damnation."

Judas Priest

"I've always loved their version of that song. And it's amazing really when you think that it was actually written by the folk goddess that is Joan Beaz. That is Judas Priest from the live album Unleashed In The East. Which was originally released I believe in 1978. The song is Diamonds And Rust."

Peter Frampton

"Well it would be very remiss of me on this particular show to not play a song from one of the biggest selling live albums of all time. So here we go. This is Peter Frampton."

"And before that Peter Frampton from Frampton Comes Alive. One of the greatest selling live albums of all time back in 1976. The opening track Something's Happening."

Def Leppard

"I'm gonna dedicate that one to the English Lionesses who did last weekend what the men's team haven't been able to do since 1966. Which is win a major trophy. Not so much bringing it home as winning it on home soil. 2-1 victory over the Germans. What a fantastic performance. We just heard there Def Leppard from VIVA! Hysteria with of course Undefeated."

"You are listening to The Joe Elliott Show. This week coming to you all the way from Boston in Massachusetts. Coming up some absolutely fantastic Thin Lizzy."

Thin Lizzy

"And before that Thin Lizzy. A song that features two absolutely stunning guitar solos. The latter one by Scott Gorham. But the one in the middle of the song by Brian Robertson is absolutely unbelievable. It is from the album Live And Dangerous. The song Still In Love With You."

Pink Floyd

"Lovely stuff there from Pink Floyd. The album is the Delicate Sound Of Thunder with a wonderful liver version actually of Wish You Were Here."

KISS

"Right then strutting their stuff as they've been doing for almost 50 years. Here's KISS."

"And before that we heard KISS from the 1975 album Alive. Apparently named after the Slade album because they were such big fans. The song we heard Strutter."

Aerosmith

"Wow were they fired up on that particular performance. That is Aerosmith from the album Live Bootleg. With a particularly speedy version of Toys In The Attic."

Show Outro

"And that my friends, all the way from Boston in Massachusetts, is about it for this week. Been a real pleasure as always. But hey you know that already. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time all the way from Minneapolis in Minnesota."

"So until then I shall leave you with this. And if you, like me, thought that that Aerosmith song was rather frantic. Wait till you get your ear lugs around this one. From the album No Sleep Till Hammersmith. This is Motorhead with er...Motorhead. Until next week see ya!."
