Show Intro

"Evening all, welcome once again to The Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Great to be with you. We've got 60 minutes of, in my humble opinion, some wonderful music. I'm really looking forward to tonight's show. How about you?."

Cheap Trick

"As we all know one of my favourite bands of all time. Absolutely fantastic stuff there from the album Standing On The Edge. It is Cheap Trick and How About You."

Van Halen

"Now there has been a sickness running through the Elliott household all week. But so far fingers crossed I have managed to avoid it. Long may it stay that way. 'Cause I do not wanna do what these guys had to do.

"And before that we heard Van Halen from Van Halen II. But god willing please don't let it happen. Somebody Get Me A Doctor."

Alice Cooper

"The Leps just did a festival with his band Hollywood Vampires. He is gonna be opening for us this summer. And he has got a new album coming out soon. He is Alice Cooper. And there from 1973. Recorded during the sessions for Billion Dollar Babies but not actually on the album. Given away in I believe the NME as a Flexi-Disc single. The song is called Slick Black Limousine."

Genesis

"Now I normally save the long big epic numbers for just after the break. But got a couple tonight. So let's crack on. This is Genesis."

"And before that we heard the band themselves from that album that is Wind And Wuthering. With the Eleventh Earl Of Mar."

Ghost

"That my friends is Tobias and his boys from Ghost with their version of the song Jesus He Knows Me. Originally recorded by Genesis on their 1991 album We Can't Dance."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming up, a couple of Beatles tunes. One by the Fab Four themselves and one by a band from deep in the Welsh valleys."

Lone Star

"And before that we heard Lone Star with their fantastic version of a Beatles tune that was recorded live for the BBC In Concert back in 1977. Featuring the wonderful wonderful vocals of Mr. Jon Sloman. It is Lone Star with She Said She Said."

The Beatles

"I play that because I have a rather significant birthday coming up myself quite soon. That is The Beatles from an album called Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. The song is When I'm...oh god...When I'm...When I'm Sixty Four."

Todd Rundgren

"Well changing the subject somewhat rapidly to something, anything. That leads us nicely into Todd Rundgren."

"And before that we heard Todd Rundgren. From that wonderful album that is Something Anything. A huge hit for him I Saw The Light."

James Whild Lea

"I can't believe it was 2007 when I first heard that song. So that's what? let's think. That's 16 years ago. There was always a lot more to that gentleman than just Come On Feel The Noise and Mama We'e All Crazy Now. It is James Whild Lea. Better known to you and I as Jimmy Lea the bass player, songwriter and violinist as well with Slade. That's a solo album that he put out all those years ago called Therapy. The song is called Heaven Can Wait."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. Been a real pleasure as always. But hey you know that already. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time.

"So until then sharing this week's birthday celebrations with yours truly. Is one Michael Jagger. 80 years old. 80 count them, Eight Zero years old this week. Fantastic. Gives us all hope. That at the age of...sixty four...I can keep doing this for, 'cause Mick keeps doing it. And why shouldn't he. What a wonderful wonderful servant he has been to Rock And Roll. Let's finish this week's show with one of my favourite ever Rolling Stones songs. Taken from the album Beggar's Banquet. This is Street Fightin' Man. Until next week see ya!."
