Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott Show. It is Planet Rock. It's that time of night where we've got 60 minutes of to plough through some wonderful music in my humble opinion. Starting off this week with that classic trio, power trio from Canada. This is Rush."

Rush

"As I've alluded to many times in the past I was at their first ever UK gig at the Sheffield City Hall in 1977 when they opened the set with that particular song. it was also the opening track of their live album that was out at the time All The World's A Stage. Which is essentially what they played that night with the addition of one new song which happened to be Xanadu. But there the original studio version from the album Caress Of Steel. That is Rush with Bastille Day."

KISS

"Now here's a band that Rush once opened for. Can you imagine these two together. Must have been a hell of a show. This is KISS."

"And before that KISS from the resurrected version of Destroyer. Basically it's the 2012 remix of the song Flaming Youth."

Black Sabbath

"Well it doesn't get much heavier than that does it folks. Sabotage the remastered version from Black Sabbath is the album. The song Symptom Of The Universe. I haven't heard that for such a long time. What a riff."

Guns N' Roses

"Right then time to use our illusions. This is Guns N' Roses."

"And before that we heard Guns N' Roses. The album Use Your Illusion I with Dust And Bones."

Wayward Sons

"Two bits of good news about the Wayward Sons who we just heard. The new album Even Up The Score is out in October. The Steelhouse Festival performance due on Saturday is cancelled because Phil Martini got pinged by the NHS and had to self isolate which Saturday was part of the isolation, the last day of. But apparently somebody of the Sunday got pinged and they've had to cancel so yes result. The Wayward Sons have been moved from Saturday to Sunday. So they will after all be playing the festival. Which is great news and as I said the new album out in October. Even Up The Score. The song we just heard fantastic song written by Toby Jepson. One of the best he's ever written in my humble opinion and probably his too. It is Faith In Fools.

"You're listening to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the fantastic Planet Rock. Coming up a little bit of Yes."

Yes

"And before that from the 2003 remastered version of the Yes album we heard of course Yes with I've Seen All Good People."

Jethro Tull

"Two gigantic yet quite frankly brilliant pieces of what people love to call Prog Rock. But to my ears it's just fantastic music. But from 1971 we just heard Jethro Tull from the 40 anniversary special edition of the album Aqualung we heard the title track."

Van Halen

"Right then here's a couple of bands that are absolutely crying out for a little bit of medical assistance."

"And before that Van Halen featuring no slouch himself Eddie Van Halen on guitar. From their second album Van Halen II we heard Somebody Get Me A Doctor."

UFO

"Two absolutely phenomenal bands there both featuring a phenomenal guitar player. We just heard from 1974 UFO their debut album for Chrysalis Records, it is UFO featuring the wonderful playing of Mr. Michael Schenker. The album Phenomenon. The song Doctor Doctor."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. If you're off to any festivals this weekend have a good time. Be safe. Stay very safe please."

"Until next week I'll leave you with this. Dave Grohl plays every instrument except for the rhythm guitar and the lead vocals which are handled by Mick Jagger. Who sums up everything that we have been going through for the last 18 to 20 months or so. This is great. This is Eazy Sleazy."

"Until next week see ya!."
