Show Intro

"Hey ho. Welcome once again. It's The Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming to you this week from. Well let's just say I'm on a little vacation having just finished last night in El Paso, Texas. Now we're off till we head off to Japan and Australia. But it's great to be with you. It's good to be in your company and it's good to be in the Company Of Wolves."

Company Of Wolves

"They made a mini splash around the late 80s/early 90s. And my old mate Frankie LaRocka god bless him. Long gone these days. Was the gentleman that got me involved in Mick Ronson's posthumous album Heaven And Hull. What a great drummer he was. And what a great band they were. The album is called Company Of Wolves. As is the band. The song that we heard Can't Love Ya, Can't Leave Ya."

Creedence Clearwater Revival

"Now growing up as a music fan in the late 60s/early 70s. If you were listening to the radio back then in those days. You'd figure out now, thinking back, that there wasn't that many American bands that made a big splash in the UK. But this lot certainly did. This is Creedence Clearwater Revival."

"And before that Creedence Clearwater Revival. One of the few rock bands that ever really got a foot hold in the UK back in the late 60s/early 70s. Taken from their 20 Greatest Hits album. We heard the song Hey Tonight."

Crosby, Stills And Nash

"Having been travelling through the heart land of America as it's known with Motley and Alice for the last days. Places like Ohio, Nebraska and Oklahoma. And Texas where we were right on the border in El Paso between the U.S. and Mexico. This music was never that far from your ears. Whether it was blaring out the shops, the streets or the radio stations. So I thought I'd just play a little flavour of that music which still gets played all over that area of America. We just heard Crosby, Stills And Nash from the album of the same name with Suite: Judy Blue Eyes."

Cold Chisel

"So leaving America behind for a little while as we are doing now. Let's head off down to Australia where we will be in a couple of months time. This is Cold Chisel."

"And before that Cold Chisel featuring the fantastic vocals of one Mr. Jimmy Barnes. Taken from their best of collection we heard the song You Got Nothing I Want."

Clutch

"They were on a couple of festivals with us this past summer. And they were absolutely fantastic. They are Clutch. And we just heard the title track from their album Earth Rocker. Wonderful stuff."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. And just a quick reminder you can access my show This Is How I Roll on Planet Rock premium. 24/7, 365. By clicking on the App. Or going to the website. Coming up, a couple of tunes from our touring partners this summer."

Alice Cooper

"And before that we heard the mighty Alice Cooper. Who has been with us for the last seven shows. I watched the entire gig from side stage in Tulsa, Oklahoma. And he puts on a phenomenal show. Such a pleasure as a long term fan to watch him do that from so close up. And to hear that song at all seven shows. Just a wonderful thing for me. The album it comes from is 1971's Love It To Death. The song is the Ballad Of Dwight Fry."

Motley Crue

"Now I've told Nikki Sixx on many occasions that that, despite all their hit singles, is my favourite ever Motley Crue song. I think when I first told him he was shocked and pleasantly surprised 'cause it is a little different. It is from the album Generation Swine. The song is Glitter."

Van Halen

"Right then time to man the life boats. And you know what they say Women And Children First. This is Van Halen."

"And before that we heard Van Halen from that wonderful album that is Women And Children First with And The Cradle Will Rock."

The Motors

"Now when I first heard that song I remember thinking wow, this really sounds like Pat Travers. But it wasn't Pat Travers. It is a band called The Motors. Produced by Robert John Mutt Lange. And from their debut alvum. it was also the B-Side of the hit single that never was. Dancing The Night Away. It should have been huge. The song we just heard Whisky And Wine."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time. So don't touch that dial. So where will I be?. Well I'll let you know when I get there.

"So until then I'll leave you with this. Featuring on bass guitar one Mr. Adam Clayton from U2. On drums Jason Bonham. This is Little Steven And The Disciples Of Soul from the album Born Again Savage with Guns, Drugs And Goasline. Until next week see ya!."
