Def Leppard members Joe Elliott and Phil Collen have been interviewed about the new Diamond Star Halos album.

'Diamond Star Halos' is the band's 12th studio album.

As announced on 17h March it will be released on Friday 27th May 2022.

Joe and Phil (along with Sav) spoke to USA Today and talked about how the new album sessions started and developed during the pandemic, working with Alison Krauss and the overall theme of the album.

A couple more interesting descriptions of the new songs were also included.

Joe also confirmed the band already had around 7 songs on the go ahead of the new sessions before adding to them.

Phil had already commented on new songs being recorded in mid 2019 when a full new album was first starting to be mentioned.

This Guitar Duet

The article confirms 'This Guitar' will be a duet between Joe and guest Alison Krauss and probably therefore a future single.

A possible taste of what might be coming on the still unfinished Joe Elliott/Emm Gryner joint album project.

On 'Lifeless' her role seems to be more of a backup vocalist.
