JOE ELLIOTT Says DEF LEPPARD Performed 3 Songs For THE BANK OF DAVE Movie

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed and mentioned more about the recent The Bank Of Dave movie shoot.

As mentioned last week the band recently filmed scenes for a UK based movie.

The film titled 'The Bank Of Dave' is based on the life of businessman David Fishwick from Burnley and the opening of his bank Burnley Savings & Loans Ltd.

It features features Rory Kinnear playing the role of David along with Phoebe Dynevor and Joel Fry.

Joe has now told Planet Rock during his recent interview with them more about the band's part in the movie which is due on Netflix just before Christmas 2022.

Three Songs Performed

Joe revealed that the band performed 3 songs on Saturday 5th March during the shoot.

It's safe to say 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' would've have been one of the three.

Def Leppard Role

Joe says the band appear in a sequence meant to look like they are playing at Burnley F.C.'s 21,000 capacity Turf Moor football ground.

And they are included in scenes related to a charity concert organised by the character David Fishwick (who is a Leppard fan in real life).

As revealed by looking closely at the Tempo Production photos the band were not actually in the stadium but in a film studio on a stage made to resemble on outdoor festival setup.

The company is actually based just north of Leeds where they have a studio so it could be the scenes were actually filmed there rather than in Burnley itself. The film description mentions filming in Leeds.
