[Show Notes] :: Cap: 10,000+. Showtime 8-10:30PM. A major live TV show on German channel ZDF. TV Showtime 8:15pm. Hosted by the famous German host Thomas Gottschalk (who's show Wetten Dass? (You Bet) is one of the biggest rated in Europe). You may be able to receive this channel in the UK on satellite. This is the follow up to a "5O Years of Rock" show held at Hannover in April.
The band last played in Bremen (at the same venue) in March 1988 on the Hysteria tour. The first full band performance since Moscow (Nov 24th 2003) a year ago.

[Nov 27th] :: Phil took part in a webchat backstage. He was asked about Europe (who were up after him) and mentioned their tour together in 1988. Phil was apparently still talking as Europe arrived and greeted them by saying "I've been talking about you guys!".
Other artists including Ted Herold & Chris De Burgh took part in chats before the webcam shutdown. Chris mentioned a big finale of The Beatles "All You Need is Love". Leppard's performance was at about 10pm German time. Some performers including Europe mimed, ("The Final Countdown").

Fan Review :: by PitPat

Finally there were all there: Joe, Rick, Sav, Phil and Viv. They played "Two steps behind" acoustic live. The show was great as always. Joe seems to become a little fatter than last year.
Thomas G. introduced Def Leppard by saying it was the only group who played Three continents within 24 hours and saying they play tonight a song from the 'Last Action Hero' soundtrack. After 'Two Steps Behind' there was a film about songs we remember from films like Titanic, Notting Hill, etc.
It seems Viv was wearing medical sunglasses? The presenter never spoke about the 'Best Of'.

[Webmaster] :: Having heard the recording now they sounded great. Vocals very much in tune and sounding very nice considering the long lay-off. Rick accompanied the others on his kit playing only cymbals as on previous tours.

Site Translation: "Def Leppard are represented with "Two Steps Behind"." So it seems as though they are just doing the one song. But as it's acoustic it might be totally live and not playback.

Thomas Gottschalk welcomes legends such as Uriah Heep, Def Leppard, Europe, Joe Cocker, Meat Loaf and many surprise guests to a gigantic rock party around the topic love.

News Translation :: by Dani (Thanks)

ZDF presents a gigantic Rockparty with legendary Rock-classics and guarantees big feelings. After the success of the live TV show: 50 years Rock in April 2004 with more than 7 Million people on the TV screens and 8000 supporters at the venue Preussag Arena in Hannover, ZDF lets it rock again in 135 minutes Rock-special. The theme is LOVE.
A gigantic Rock-stage is the center of a supershow. Presenter Thomas Gottschalk himself is a big supporter of Rockmusic and it was his personal request to give the love theme the most possible room in his TV- show. They've been working since the last show to make the show in November a big success, too. The garauntee for this successful event will be the live-performance by most of the Rockbands. But there will not only be ballad's played, even groovy and real rocking love songs will be performed at this show. It'll be a cross-cut through the last 50 years of the biggest and most successful lovesongs.

[Recording] :: "2 Steps in Bremen" - mp3 :: 1 song/Great Sound.
