Essentially another leg of the YEAH! tour promoting the same album as well as the Hysteria Deluxe Edition. Kicking off in Cincinnati on June 27th with fellow classic rockers
Styx and Foreigner supporting. This tour leg featured an extra stage platform. Dubbed the 'Downstage Thrust' (the tour's unofficial name) which brought
4 of the band out into the crowd to play acoustically for one and a half songs.
The first leg running until July 28th in Wyoming with 19 dates played and a long awaited return to Canada for the first time since 2005.
The tours second leg ran from August 11th in Boston through to October 2nd in Saskatoon, Canada. Along the way bad weather struck again at a US show with the August 21st date in Raleigh having to be postponed for a week. The stage being damaged by extreme weather conditions that injured some audience members. This came after a bad road accident before the first show in Cincinatti affected travel and injured some fans on their way to the show.
Veteran rockers REO Speedwagon would act as special guests in place of Foreigner at the July stops in Indianapolis, Pittsburgh and Columbus.
"OH Canada"
During 2007 the band made it's first visit to Canada since the summer tour in June 2005. Playing 8 shows in 6 provinces. The city of Sarnia in Ontario was played for the very first time. The band playing the Rogers Sarnia Bayfest event. The first announced show of the 2007 tour.
In Toronto the band were joined by Canadian rocker Kim Mitchell as an opening act for one night only. This show being one of the few recorded by audience members (continuing the decline in such taping in recent years). A possible reaction by hardcore fans to shorter shows and higher prices. Other stops included Lep favourites Vancouver and Montreal. Part-time band Rocko & The Devils opened the Victoria show. The band including long time members of U2 & Journey's road crew now working with Def Leppard.
"Feels Like The First Time"
Along with Sarnia, Canada many new cities were played during the 2007 tour. These included Walker, Minnesota, for the Moondance Jam Festival. Farwell, Michigan where the band played
at the Mountain Rock Music Festival. Cheyenne, Wyoming where the band gained some negative online publicity by playing at the Frontier Days Rodeo event. Animal Rights groups opposed to the treatment of animals at this event unsuccessfully campaigned for Def Leppard and other acts like Bon Jovi to pull-out.
This event would see Ricky Warwick back supporting the band on another tour following on from the X & Rock Of Ages shows. Once more being joined on a song by Vivian.
Other places played for the first time were Grand Junction, Colorado at the Rock Jam Festival. And a visit to the Californian city of Kelseyville playing the Konocti Field Amphitheatre within the Konocti Harbor holiday resort.
"Time After Time And Line By Line"
During the tour the band brought back a few oldies (along with the regular oldies) such as 'Mirror, Mirror (Look Into My Eyes)' and 'Excitable'. The rest of the set remained almost identical to the 2005/2006 shows except for a few different intros. The biggest change being the inclusion of the short version of 'Rocket' as the set opener. For a full breakdown of the setlist (the same each night in 2007) see 'The Show' section above.
