DEF LEPPARD Bring THE STADIUM TOUR 2022 To New York (Show Report/Setlist)

Def Leppard played show number 5 of The Stadium Tour in Flushing, NY last night with 18 songs performed.

The show took place at the 41,922 capacity Citi Field.

The first show in Flushing, NY and first in the New York City area since June 18th 2018 when they played Madison Square Garden for the second time.

The tenth show overall in New York since 1980.

The first show in New York City took place in August 1980 with AC/DC at The Palladium. On Joe's 21st birthday.

This stadium was built on the site of the old Shea Stadium which The Beatles played in the mid 1960s.

It is home to the New Yorks Mets baseball team.

Flushing is actually 13.8 miles to the North East of New York City itself and also home to the Flushing Meadows Tennis Centre where the US Open is played.

Would the bad weather follow the band to New York from Washington D.C.?.

Show #5 - Sunshine And Clear Skies

Unlike the previous show there was no rain during Def Leppard's closing set.

The stadium was bathed in afternoon sunshine as Motley Crue played and as the sun set ahead of Def Leppard's stage time there was no sign of any storms.

Unchanged Setlist

The band played another great show with an unchanged 18 song setlist.

It appears the set will remain the same at least for this first leg if not the entire 36 show run in 2022.

Motley Crue

The same 15 song setlist played and Tommy Lee playing on 4 songs again (Drums X3/Piano X1).
