Def Leppard announced the release of the High 'n' Dry album picture disc on vinyl for Record Store Day 2022 on this day in 2022.

The official list of releases for Record Store Day 2022 was revealed on this day with Def Leppard included.

The band confirmed the release of a 'High 'n' Dry' album on Picture Disc 12" vinyl.

The first time the album had ever been released as a picture disc in a Die-Cut sleeve.

This was the 7th time the band had been involved in Record Store Day.

Record Store Day 2022 took place on Saturday 23rd April - (what would have been Steve Clark's 62nd birthday).

The album was of course originally released in July 1981 and has since been reissued a number of times including as part of the recent Collection box set series.

The quantity listed for the USA was 6,000 copies.

Other Record Store Day releases were scheduled for June 18th.

One of these featured Vivian Campbell live with DIO in 1983.

DIO - 'Double Dose Of Donington '83 & '87' is a Picture Disc LP with the 1983 Donington set on side one and the 1987 show on side two.

Vivian is included on side one which was also the first UK show by the band on 20th August 1983 on a bill headlined by Whitesnake and also featuring ZZ Top, Meatloaf, Twisted Sister and Diamond Head.
