Show Notes -- Capacity: 11.000+. Supported by GUN. The second night with no sound problems. The audience recording of this show actually appears to be a soundboard recording of high quality, up there with the two Atlanta shows as the best from this tour.

The band were able to play large shows in Sheffield on this tour due to a stroke of luck, the city hosted the World Student Games (Athletics) in 1991 and the local council founded the development and building of many new sports facilities in the city. Including a world class swimming complex in Pond's Forge (near the train station) where the countries top swimmers now train and a new athletics stadium and multi-purpose arena. Don Valley Stadium was built in the north of the city right next to the new Sheffield Arena - since renamed Hallam FM Arena after the local radio station. Later on the tour Lep would be the first act to play and sell out the stadium.
The arena cost £34 million and was opened by Queen Elizabeth II on May 30th 1991.The same night as the first concert by Paul Simon. Video thanks to Andylgr.

Onstage Quotes -- By Joe Elliott

After Tear It Down -- "Good Evening Sheffield! How ya doing everybody feeling alright?. Are you ready to get Adrenalized? Good this is the 7-Day Weekend Tour. Seven days, and on the eighth day.".

After Hysteria -- "Thankyou very much. How you doing out there alright? What do you think of the stage then? Does this work or what? It's the only way to do it. We're very honoured to be able to bring it here at last, we tried to do it on the last tour they wouldn't let us in anywhere in Britain with the In The Round stage - it was too heavy, supposedly. We managed to lighten it a little bit and got a new one and you lot built an arena which is great. Back in our hometown, wow.
And not only are we back in our hometown with a brand new stage we got a brand new album called 'Adrenalize' We got a brand new single out. It's called 'Make Love Like A Man!'."

Before White Lightning -- "Ladies and Gentleman I'd like to introduce to you on the electric guitar. All the way from Walthamstow in London. Mr. Phil Collen."

Before Foolin' -- "Thankyou very much. OK we'd like to take you back to about 1983 and a song from the 'Pyromania' album."

After Foolin' -- "Thanks very much. What? Can't hear ya what? Let's save the football songs for later on in the set alirght. I don't wanna upset anybody. And I Want, And I Need, And I Lust, ANIMAL!."

After Animal -- "Nice to hear you singing so well. I always knew you could. We just never had a building big enough right? Now we got one. Well here we are. Sheffield Arena, second night. It's been a long time. August '87 we last played in Sheffield. And that was the beginning of our 'Hysteria' tour. Which took in 227 shows around the world. And we did pretty well. And then we went back into the studio to make a new album. And it all started to fall apart again as usual. And while we were in the studio arsing around trying to write songs and keep ourselves together. We lost a friend who was very dear to us. But life goes on, and we rounded up the troops and we made ourselves a brand new friend. I'd like to introduce you to him, all the way from Belfast in Northern Ireland. Ladies and Gentleman a big hand for Vivian Campbell."

Before S.M.C. -- "Thankyou, thankyou very much. OK for the next couple of numbers or so, we're gonna slow it down a little bit for ya. The second song we're gonna play is a track from the new album 'Adrenalize'. But the first one goes back a bit further than that and let's see if you recognise this one shall we."

Before Photograph -- "Thankyou, thankyou very much. OK going back to 1983 we once wrote a song about a very beautifful woman. Alas she died a long time ago but I had a picture of her on my wall it inspired us a little bit. It's about Marilyn Monroe and it goes something like this."

Before Armageddon It -- "Alright Sheffield lets see some hands in the air c'mon! Everybody. Have a look at yourselves."

Before And After -- "OK Sheffield I got a question for ya - Do ya wanna get rocked?. Thankyou. Thanks for having us."

Before ROA -- "Thankyou whoo. And the man on the drums he did say!." - Rick did the GGGG intro.

After ROA -- "Number one Sheffield!. Once again thanks for having us. And until next and there will be a next time! Don't forget us cos we won't forget you. Goodnight."
