DEF LEPPARD's JOE ELLIOTT Performs WIN/ZIGGY STARDUST At A BOWIE CELEBRATION (Setlist)
A Bowie Celebration
Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott took part in the A Bowie Celebration online concert last night with photos and setlist available.
The event titled Mike Garson's 'A Bowie Celebration' took place on 9th January 2021.
The show had been originally scheduled for 8th January to coincide with David's 74th birthday and five years since his death but was postponed at the last minute.
The concert was announced in November 2021 and saw Joe performing two songs.
Joe's section began with 'Win' which was performed as a piano ballad.
Joe was shown in a recorded video shot (presumably) in Dublin and stood next to concert organiser Mike Garson who played piano.
And the more familiar 'Ziggy Stardust' which has been recorded and performed by both Def Leppard and the Cybernauts and included at many of Def Leppard's acoustic and electric concerts over the years.
For this performance Joe's video image was shown as a box on the left of screen.
Mike Garson was again on piano with a band performing live in the studio which featured Sterling Campbell on drums, Earl Slick on guitar plus a second guitarist, bassist and two backing vocalists.
The nearly three hour show saw 39 songs performed with the full setlist shown below.
Other performers included - Trent Reznor (Nine Inch Nails), Ian Astbury (The Cult), Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Gavin Rossdale (Bush) and Perry Farrell (Jane's Addiction) plus Ian Hunter, Duran Duran who opened the show with 'FDive Years' which they also released this week as a download single.
The concert is currently streaming online for 24 hours.
