Pour Some Sugar On Me 1987
Def Leppard released their classic Pour Some Sugar On Me single 33 years ago on this day in 1987 in the UK.
The second single to be released from the 'Hysteria' album in the UK.
It was released on 7th September 1987 reaching Number 18 on the singles chart.
The follow up to 'Animal' which had reached Number Six in August giving the band their first ever Top Ten single and the first UK chart success.
The 'Hysteria' album had just ended it's sole week at Number One having debuted there on 29th August.
The song would be released as a single in the USA in May 1988 and reached its peak position of #2 on the same day that 'Hysteria' got to Number One after 49 weeks on the album chart.
