Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Great to be with you once again in these crazy times albeit. What have we got for you tonight?. Well the one thing that we don't have to worry about is social distancing because on the radio there's no such thing. You don't have to worry about being six feet away from some fantastic music. Sixty minutes of which we have for you tonight. Including this one. It's so brand new it is still smoking. This is the Crossfire Eagles."

Crossfire Eagles

"Featuring Tyler son of Rick Savage on guitar. That is brand new Crossfire Eagles. Literally just dropped yesterday. And in my humble opinion the best thing that they have done to date. Great little song called Episode."

Ultravox

"So young Savage is doing quite well for himself, how could I resist?. This is Ultravox."

"And before that we heard Ultravox featuring John Fox on lead vocals. Long before Midge Ure took over the helm. It was their first ever single release. It is these days to be found on Rare Retro. It is Young Savage."

The Stranglers

"Oh boy does that song bring back some fantastic memories of my first ever non-parental holiday when me and my mates went to stay for seven nights in a B and B in sunny Skegness. And every night we used to go to the same nightclub and every night we would almost pogo ourselves to death to that particular song. It is The Stranglers from their debut album in 1977. The album is Rattus Norvegicus. The song we just heard Go Buddy Go and boy did we."

AC/DC

"Now I think we can all agree that we are living in a very strange age right now. I don't know about you but I would much rather be living in the power age."

"And before that from 1978 the album Powerage. So well thought of that album by Keith Richards that he's got it right up there with all the music he grew up listening to. Like Elvis and Little Richard and Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry. High compliments indeed. AC/DC Up To My Neck In You."

VEGA

"Another brand new one for you there folks. That is VEGA from their upcoming album Grit Your Teeth. It is released June 12th. So get your orders in now. The song we just heard I Don't Need Perfection."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show on the wonderful Planet Rock. It is time for a little break. And when we come back, we're gonna go and visit Quadrophenia with The Who."

The Who

"And before that we heard The Who. The mighty Who from the album Quadrophenia. The magnificent Love Reign O'er Me ."

Deep Purple

"That my friends is Deep Purple mark I. From their second studio album in 1969. The album is called The Book Of, I believe it's pronounced Taliesyn. It featured Nick Simper on bass and Rod Evans on lead vocals. Not that you'd notice on that particular song. The track is called Wring That Neck."

Nazareth

"About 8 or 9 months ago I got hold of a 27 CD box set. An entire career retrospective of this next band. And I just got round to opening it. And I think after all that hard work of listening through to some of this stuff they deserve a good listen. This is Nazareth."

"And before that we heard Nazareth from the album Loud And Proud. A song once covered by Michael Monroe in the late 80s. It is Not Faking It."

10CC

"I absolutely adore that band they wrote such great songs. They were so unique. They are 10CC. The album is The Original Soundtrack. The song The Second Sitting For The Last Supper."

Hanoi Rocks

"And talking of Michael Monroe here's a bit of Hanoi Rocks."

"And before that we heard Hanoi Rocks featuring Ian Hunter's lyrics. Production by Bob Ezrin. The album is Two Steps From The Move. The song we heard Underwater World."

Giuda

"Wearing their tartan turn up pants, their platform boots and waving their glam rock flag with pride. That is Italy's Giuda from 2010 with a song called Number 10."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time."

"So until then I'm gonna leave you with this. And I'm gonna dedicate this to Colonel Thomas Moore. 100 years old this week. He's raised over 30 million pounds for the NHS. He has been honoured with a fly over by the RAF. And he's Number One in the pop charts. Everyone's A Winner. Until next week see ya!."
