On This Day in Def Leppard History - 28th August, the following concerts and events took place. Including a show Indianapolis, IN during the High 'n' Dry tour on this day in 1981.

The band were supporting Ozzy Osbourne on his Blizzard Of Ozz tour. They would return to the city to support Billy Squier in April 1983 and eventually play their first headline show here in October 1987 during the Hysteria tour.

In both 1999 and 2000 on this date the band played consecutive shows at the annual New York State Fair in Syracuse during the Euphoria tour.

On this day in 2003 the band played Thin Lizzy classic 'Don't Believe A Word' for the first and only time in Wallingford, CT during the X/Ten tour. The song was later included on the YEAH! covers album which the band were starting to prepare for at this time.

As of 2020, Def Leppard have played 13 times on this date.
