Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has released his first new music of 2020 with Nikki Sixx's band SIXX:AM.

The band have released a new charity single under the name "SIXX:AM Presents Artists For Recovery".

The song 'maybe It's Time' is out now and can be purchased, downloaded or streamed.

Joe has contributed guest lead vocals alongside others including Corey Taylor, Brantley Gilbert and Ivan Moody.

Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash also plays guest guitar on the song.

This marks Joe's first new studio music release of 2020.

His last release of new music (outside of Def Leppard box sets and live videos) was in December 2019 on The Planet Rock Allstars charity single 'You're The Voice'.

Which followed on from his own Down 'n' Outz who released their third album This is How We Roll on 11th October 2019.

The song's proceeds will be donated to the Global Recovery Initiatives Foundation (GRI) to help "fight substance use disorders and help people in recovery".

The song will also be part of the 'Sno Babies' film soundtrack which is released on 29th September.

It's release coincides with National Recovery Month in September which is part of a music industry initiative to bring attention to the opioid crisis and raise funds to serve the recovery community and save lives.

Listen to the song and watch the promo video below which features footage of Joe shot in 2019 on tour and at The Stadium Tour photo shoot.

This song is the first time anyone from Def Leppard has collaborated with a member of Motley Crue on studio music.

Motley Crue are set to join Def Leppard for the rescheduled The Stadium Tour 2021 which now starts in Nashville, TN on 19th June 2021 having been postponed due to the global pandemic.
