Joe Elliott famously wrote on the side wall of the venue that the band would play and sell out the venue in 1980 which they did. The show was the fifth night of their debut UK headline tour supported by Magnum.

Also on this day in 2013 the 9th show of the VIVA! Hysteria residency took place at The Joint in Las Vegas, NV.

32 years ago on this day in 1988 the band started the second UK Hysteria tour in Bournemouth, England.
