A week where the band took part in a radio special in the USA.
SiriusXM USA Radio Special
A 69-hour/three day radio special was announced on Thursday in the USA.
The band members took over the Hair Nation channel on SiriusXM radio for a special called 'Let's Get Rocked At Home Weekend'.
Originally recorded for a Stadium Tour special it was amended to include "At Home" messages and voice overs encouraging fans to stay home and enjoy the music all weekend long.
Joe Elliott and Phil Collen performed unique versions of five Def Leppard songs.
Joe recorded live acoustic versions of 'From The Inside', 'We Belong ' and 'Two Steps Behind' and told the story of how they were first written.
Phil played versions of 'Hysteria' and 'Pour Some Sugar On Me' with just vocals and electric guitar. His performances were taped recently in the SiriusXM studios (with the PSSOM performance available on YouTube).
Throughout the weekend Joe, Phil, Rick and Vivian introduced Def Leppard songs with short stories and anecdotes along with songs by artists associated with the band including Joan Jett, Poison and Motley Crue.
Steve Clark's 60th Birthday
This week original guitarist Steve Clark would have turned 60 years old.
Having been born in Sheffield, England on 23rd April 1960 and going on to become a member of the band from 1978 to 1991.
Def Leppard History
The 28th anniversary of the Freddie Mercury Tribute show in London took place this week.
