On This Day in Def Leppard History - 1st September, the following concerts and events took place. Including a radio sponsored concert in Portland, OR during the Slang tour on this day in 1996.

The Z100 Last Chance Summer Dance took place on the waterfront during the afternoon in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

The diverse line up also featured KC & The Sunshine Band, Tina Arena and Color Me Badd.

Also on this day in 1987 the band played the fifth show of the 'Hysteria' world tour in Nottingham, England.
