Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. It is fantastic to be with you once again. I am in what's known as a holding pattern right now. We did a gig, we being Leppard, last weekend in Nashville. We have one in Sacramento, California in about a week's time. So right now I'm on a little break which is fantastic."

"I have got sixty minutes of great music lined up for ya tonight. Starting off with this crazy crowd who love to say Bang, Zoom, Crazy... Hello. Yes it is Cheap Trick."

Cheap Trick

"From one of my favourite ever bands. That is Cheap Trick who never seem to age and they never wane quality wise when they put new music out. That is from their 2016 album Bang, Zoom, Crazy... Hello. The song Blood Red Lips."

Alice Cooper

"Well that was a great start but we've still go a long way to go. Cue Alice Cooper."

"And before that Alice Cooper from the album Love You To Death back in 1971 we heard Long Way To Go."

Dirty Honey

"There is a lot of heat on that band right now. And it's great to see another band coming through. We've got the likes of Greta Van Fleet and The Struts. Whop is fairness have been around for five years or so by now already. But it's good the more the merrier I say. That is a band called Dirty Honey from their debut EP. The song When I'm Gone."

Johnny Cola And the A Grades

"Right then with an intro featuring one of the dirtiest and most beautiful distorted bass sounds I've ever heard. This is Johnny Cola And the A Grades."

"And before thatwe heard Johnny Cola And the A Grades with some phenomenal sub sonic bottom end on that bass guitar there. It is the title track of their EP Halo."

ELO

"There is a brand new ELO album out on 1st November called From Out Of Nowhere. Can't wait to hear that, but until I do we're living with some fantastic ELO from back in 1975. The album is Face The Music. The song, amazing bit of work, called Nightrider."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. It is time for a little break and when we come back, we're heading off to the Russian outback with Yes."

Yes

"And before that we heard Yes from the album Close To The Edge. All nine minutes of it. Siberian Khatru."

Jethro Tull

"From the soon to be released expanded version of Storm Watch. Four CDs, lots to read. It's out 15th November. It is Jethro Tull and what we just heard there is credited as Early Version of the song Dun Ringill. Which in my ears sounds better than the one on the original album. That's a great bit of work."

Heavy Metal Kids

"So from the far reaches of the Russian wastelands a trip from heaven to hell and back again maybe. This is the Heavy Metal Kids."

"And before that the Heavy Metal Kids from the album Kitsch 1976. Their keyboard player on that album was John Sinclair once of Uriah Heep and of course let's not forget Spinal Tap. The song we heard From Heaven To Hell & Back Again."

UFO

"Couple of bands there back to back that once featured the same keyboard player. Mr. Danny Peyronel. Albeit not on the two songs that we just heard. We did just hear from 1974 the album Phenomenon. The band UFO. The song Crystal Light. A very popular drink in the United States."

Roxy Music

"Now back in 1973 there was a new sensation and it sounded something like this."

"And before that Roxy Music who really like Bowie came out of space in 1972. But there from just a year later we heard the opening track from the album For Your Pleasure. The song Do The Strand."

Duff McKagan

" I'm still really loving this album. It is Duff McKagan. The album is called Tenderness. The song we just heard Falling Down."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week. It has as always been a great pleasure bringing this show to you. Let's do it again next week at exactly the same time."

"Until then let's get some mania on. This is the Ramones and Gimme Gimme Shock Treatment. Until next week see ya."
