Show Intro

"Greetings everybody and welcome once again to The Joe Elliott Show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. This week it is coming to ya from a place called Moncton in New Brunswick in Canada. What a fantastic month we had in Europe. Thanks to everybody listening that turned up at any of the gigs. All the way from Sweden through Finland. To Download of course. All the way through to Barcelona. What a fantastic month it has been. We are now three weeks in Canada."

"Tonight sixty minutes of great music starting off with this. Something that I can guarantee KISS are not playing on their current tour."

KISS

"For all his love of Jimmy Page and Alex Lifeson and Zal Cleminson and Brian Robertson. Steve Clark absolutely loved that song. That is from 1980. It is KISS from the album Unmasked. The song Is That You?."

Kristeen Young

"Now if you like your music made for strippers, hookers and the odd onlooker then you might like this. This is Kristeen Young."

"And before that Kristeen Young having the best pulled out of her by her producer Tony Visconti. Of course famous for his work with T. Rex and David Bowie and Thin Lizzy. The album is Music For Strippers, Hookers And The Odd Onlooker. The song we heard Son Of Man."

Kate Bush

"You could say the queen there preceded by the apprentice maybe. That is Kate Bush from the album Never For Ever with Violin."

Man

"And talking of Man."

"And before that. I saw them live at the Sheffield City Hall in I think it was 1976. They are Man. The album is Welsh Connection. The song we heard The Ride And The View."

Roxy Music

"Excellent stuff there from 1975 that is Roxy Music. The album is Siren. The song we just heard Just Another High."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott Show on Planet Rock. Coming to you this week all the way from Moncton in New Brunswick in Canada. It is time for a little break, and when we come back, we're going on a treasure hunt with the Sensational Alex Harvey Band."

Sensational Alex Harvey Band

"And before that the Sensational Alex Harvey Band. And from the album The Impossible Dream with what we might call a twist in a pirate tale. The song Tomahawk Kid."

Little Angels

"Just last week when Def Leppard played a gig in Munich with Bon Jovi. Great gig by the way. We had a visitation from Mr. and Mrs. Toby Jepson. That is Toby from the Wayward Sons whose new album is in the can and I can say having heard it. Honestly it's a great great album. But there from his original outfit, Scarborough's finest, the Little Angels. The song we just heard Womankind."

Be Bop Deluxe

"Right then from Scarborough all the way over to Wakefield. This is Be Bop Deluxe."

"And before that the band that I saw the Doctors Of Madness open for in 1976 at the Sheffield City Hall. It is Be Bop Deluxe from their debut album Axe Victim. The song we heard Jet Silver And The Dolls Of Venus."

Doctors Of Madness

"Although we had a sneak peek at that song last year it's official release isn't until 19th of July. Brand spanking new music from the Doctors Of Madness. The first bit of new music that they've put out in, wait for it, 41 years. 1978 since they last released any music. The album is due out September 13th. It is called Dark Times. The song that we just heard which features yours truly on backing vocals. Is a song called Make It Stop."

Glimmer

"Now somewhere in between The Quireboys splitting up and reforming and his tenure in the Down 'n' Outz. Guy Griffin had a band called Glimmer. And they sounded somewhat like this."

"And before that Glimmer featuring Guy Griffin currently a Down 'n' Out occasionally. But more often than not a Quireboy. The album Siverzone. The song we heard Velveteen."

Mick Ronson

"Taking a classic Little Richard song and giving it a good kick up the backside with a bit of help from his friend Ina Hunter. That is Mick Ronson from his second solo album Play Don't Worry released in 1975. The song The Girl Can't Help It."

Show Outro

"And that my friends, all the way from Moncton in New Brunswick, Canada., is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at exactly the same time from Hamilton in Ontario."

"So until then I'm gonna leave you with this. From my favourite album that they ever made. This is Motorhead. The album is Bad Magic. The song Evil Eye. Till next week see ya!."
