Joining Def Leppard

"Yeah I joined round about my 15th birthday and yeah I've never looked back. I mean it's the only real job I knew."

Success/Band Friendship

"I think it's not always the success that defines you. It's what you do, you know, in times when, you know, you get beaten down. And I think that's one of the main things about this band is, you know, we enjoy one another's company. We still have one dressing room. And, you know, I think that's the key is actually enjoying the people that you work with."

Artwork

"It's true and it is. It's all my life experience and it all comes out somewhere along the way. I do a fair bit of painting with my youngest daughter and it's a great way for the two of us to bond. And people really enjoy what I'm doing so...and it makes me feel god while I'm doing it."

Legend Series Paintings

"Well the Legends series. I actually painted Steve Clark who was one of my band mates who sadly, you know, he passed. And then I just carried on that tradition so Hendrix was an obvious example. I just did Tom Petty as well which, you know, what a terrible loss. And then, you know, the phone boxes that was refuge you know. When it was freezing cold outside or raining. I can't even tell you what went on inside those!."

Art Studio

"I'll kind of go between, you know, sometimes it'll be just like I need peace and quiet. I just wanna get into my headspace and just paint. And then other times like when I'm doing some of the Legends like Hendrix I've got like Hendrix music blasting and just trying to get into the vibe of it."

Accident Recovery

"The human spirit literally. I think when you surround yourself with people that care. People that lift you up. Whether that's, you know, my family. the guys in the band who I consider family. And then people from all over the planet just really lifting me up. It was like you know what I can do this."
