DEF LEPPARD's Classic 1987 ANIMAL Top Of The Pops Appearance Re-Broadcast
Def Leppard made their first appearance on Top Of The Pops in August 1987 and the show is set to be broadcast again soon.
The band were featured for the very first time on the show in August 1987.
Two shows are set to be re-broadcast on BBC Four very soon for the first time since their original airing in 1987.
These are the 6th August 1987 show which featured the 'Animal' promo video show during the 'Breakers' section for high climbing singles.
The second is the 13th August show where they opened with a performance of 'Animal' which was their first broadcast appearance on the legenday show.
A taping of 'Hello America' in March 1980 was not shown due to the single failing to make the main Top 40.

In 2017 the appearance was included with the 'Hysteria' 30th anniversary edition reissue and posted to YouTube/iTunes. This is the first time the entire episode has been shown again in full.
