The venue is located 7.2 miles to the North West of Raleigh city centre and within the grounds of the North Carolina State University with the North Carolina State University stadium next door.
It was opened October 1999 as Raleigh Entertainment & Sports Arena.
From 2002 to 2012 it was called RBC Center and is locally referred to by the nicknames 'The PNC' and 'The Storm Shelter'.
The first indoor show in Raleigh since January 1988 on the Hysteria tour.
