Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Cincinnati, OH with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 17,556 capacity U.S. Bank Arena.

The band last played Cincinnati on 5th July 2016 on the Summer Tour 2016.

The 17th show by the band in this city and a return to a venue not played since 1992 and now under a new name.

The first visit here took place in April 1983 at the Cincinnati Gardens as support to Billy Squier.

They returned for the first headline show in January 1988. An In The Round show at Riverfront Coliseum during the Hysteria tour with Tesla supporting them.

A second outdoor show followed in August 1988 at Riverbend Music Center. Their first time playing this venue.

The last of the three indoor shows in this city was played (In The Round) in November 1992 on the Adrenalize tour also at Riverfront Coliseum.

Between July 1993 to July 2016 every show in Cincinnati was played at the Riverbend Music Center.

Phil Collen Returns

Phil Collen returned to the tour after having to depart a day before the show in Hershey, PA.

News of his return was first reported by a local fan who met him in Fountain Square, not far from the venue and the adjoining Great American Ball Park stadium. Phil confirmed to him that he would be playing the show.

He had missed the previous three shows in Hershey, Buffalo and Cleveland due to an unspecified "family emergency".

Setlist

'When Love & Hate Collide' and 'Man Enough' were played for the first time in Cincinnati.

All 16 songs played (once again) with Mr. Phil Collen on guitar, as they should be. And once again...Sav wore his pink outfit.

Beer

Def Leppard Pale seems to have been more widely available at last night's show after not being seen at the previous shows outside of a few local bars. It's fair to say this is not the reason Phil came back at this show though!. Joe once again opened a can and took a sip before his 'Rock Of Ages' speech. This time giving the can to a fan in the front rows.
