Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome once again to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Which this week comes to you from Upstate New York. Yes, we are in Buffalo. However Phil Collen is not and neither was he in Hershey, Pennsylvania last night because he's had to rush home to California for a family emergency. Proving that the road to rock and roll stardom is often littered with obstacles. Something that Def Leppard knows all about. However, and as Queen so valiantly put it, the show must go on. So with Phil's blessing we have once again recruited our very good friend Mr. Steve Brown from Trixter who ironically also stood in for Vivian Campbell about four years or so ago."

"So let's get tonight's show started by saying this. We are after all only human. So let's have some fun tonight. This is VEGA."

VEGA

"Their album is in the UK Top 10 in the rock charts. In fact I believe it's Number 3 which is great news for British rock. They are VEGA. The album brand new is Only Human. The song we just heard Let's Have Fun Tonight."

Guns N' Roses

"Right then it is time for you to use your illusion. Yes this is G N' R."

"And before that Guns N' Roses from the album Use Your Illusion I with The Garden."

The Who

"Couple of bands there that played together at last year's Rock In Rio. That is The Who from their box set Maximum A's and B's. The song Join Together."

Atomic Rooster

"Mow the band may be no more and this song may be almost forty years old, but the box set that it's on just got released. This is Atomic Rooster."

"And before that Atomic Rooster from the brand new box set Sleeping For Years. The song Tomorrow Night."

Lynyrd Skynyrd

"I may have mentioned this a couple of months ago. So forgive me if I'm repeating myself. But I saw a fantastic tribute to Lynyrd Skynyrd on American TV called One More For The Fans. And the version of that song was done by Greg Allman and it is absolutely worth checking out. It was stunning, absolutely stunning but that is the original from the album Pronounced Lynyrd Skynyrd that is said band with Tuesday's Gone."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show all the way from Buffalo in New York State on Planet Rock. All the way . It's time for a little break and when we come back, fingers crossed some Ian Hunter."

Ian Hunter

"And before that Ian Hunter from his last studio album Fingers Crossed with the most wonderful bit of work called Morpheus."

Queen

"Well if you picked up a copy of last years 40th anniversary re-release of News Of The World, you will have discovered that amongst the bonus material was a brand new song. That just happens to be forty years old. And that is it Queen there with a song called Feelings Feelings."

Robert Plant

"Now this is where the old and the new cross pollinate. Which is no bad thing. Starting off with Mr. Robert Plant."

"And before that from his latest album Mr. Robert Plant. The album is Carry Fire. The song we just heard Bones Of Saints."

Greta Van Fleet

"They are being touted as the new Led Zeppelin for obvious reasons. They are Greta Van Fleet. From their Black Smoke Rising EP that is Safari Song."

Lou Reed

"Now taking a phrase once said to him by Andy Warhol, and turning it into the first line of the song, this is Loud Reed.

"And before that we heard Mr. Lou Reed from 1972. Produced by Mick Ronson and David Bowie. The album Transformer. The song we just heard Vicious."

The Clash

"Boy that band didn't half have some great songs that never made any of their official albums. They are The Clash and from the Super Black Market Clash album that is City Of The Dead."

Show Outro

"And that my friends is about it for this week on what I would call a most reflective of shows. Happy to have been with you for the sixty minutes as always. Sad that Phil Collen is not currently with the band, but I do know that he will be back pretty soon. And I will make sure that all you Def Leppard fans out there know through our website and through Planet Rock's website when that exactly is."

"So until next week I'm gonna leave you with this. And this is magnificent. This is Iggy Pop and Lust For Life. Till next week see ya!."
