DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY Tour In PITTSBURGH, PA (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Pittsburgh, PA with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 14,536 capacity PPG Paints Arena.

The band last played Pittsburgh on 8th July 2016 on the Summer Tour 2016.

The 20th show by the band in this city and first at this venue which was opened in August 2010.

The first visit here (in Pittsburgh) took place in July 1980 at the Stanley Theatre as support to Judas Priest along with the Scorpions.

They would return here to play two more support shows with Ozzy Osbourne in August 1981 and then September with Blackfoot/G-Force.

The first headline show came in June 1983 on the Pyromania tour at the Civic Arena.

This venue would then host two In the Round shows in January 1988/November 1992 on the Hysteria/Adrenalize tours.

Since then 12 shows have been played in Burgettstown at First Niagara Pavilion up to 2016.

It was first played in September 1993 as the Coca Cola Star Lake Amphitheatre. Now on its fourth name of First Niagara Pavilion with the band first playing here under this name in August 2011.

The two other shows happened in March 2003 at Peterson Events Center and July 2003 at Heinz Field during the X/Ten tour.

Joe again referenced the StanelyTheatre show before 'Two Steps Behind'.

Last night's show was the first of only two scheduled Canadian dates on the 2018 tour. The other being Vancouver in October.

Setlist

'Man Enough' and 'When Love & Hate Collide' were both played for the first time in Pittsburgh.

No other changes in the show which started at around 7:25pm.
