DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY Tour In PHILADELPHIA, PA (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Philadelphia, PA with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 19,500 capacity Wells Fargo Center.

The band last played Philadelphia on 8th April 2003 on the X/Ten world tour.

The tenth (full) show by the band in this city and the first time at this venue which was opened in August 1996.

The first show here took place in July 1980 as support to Ted Nugent at The Spectrum.

The returned to the same venue in March 1983 as support to Billy Squier on the Pyromania tour.

Three In The Round shows followed at the same venue on the Hysteria tour in October 1987 and a two night stand in September 1988.

The run of shows at the Spectrum continued with another two night stand of In the Round shows in August 1992. Filmed by MTV News.

The Adrenalize tour got a third show in the city with the band's first ever outdoor performance here in August 1993 at the Mann Center for the Performing Arts.

It would take ten years for them to return with another show at The Spectrum played in April 2003 on the X/Ten tour. The venue was closed in October 2009 and then demolished in 2010/2011.

In July 2005 the band also played the city as part of the Live 8 global charity concert event. Performing three songs in front of an estimated crowd of 1 million people.

'When Love & Hate Collide', 'Rock On' and 'Man Enough' were all played for the first time in Philadelphia.
