DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY Tour In MINNEAPOLIS, MN (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Minneapolis, MN with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 39,504 capacity Target Field.

The sixth of ten stadium shows with support from Cheap Trick.

The band last played Minneapolis on 5th October 2016 on the Summer Tour 2016.

The 18th show the band have played in Minneapolis/St. Paul (or Bloomington) and first time at this venue.

The first visit to Minneapolis was in August 1980 at the Civic Center as support to Judas Priest on their first American tour.

They returned in October 1981 at the Met Center with Blackfoot on the High 'n' Dry tour.

An April 1983 show was next at Northrop Auditorium as support to Billy Squier on the Pyromania tour.

Their first time as headliners happened in July 1988 with three sold out In The Round shows at the Met Center with Tesla in support.

The first time they had played three nights at one arena in the USA (or elsewhere).

They even covered 'Brown Sugar' by the Rolling Stones at one of the shows.

The first visit to the Target Center took place in November 1992 with another In The Round show on the Adrenalize tour.

They would return there again in July 2006 on the YEAH! tour and in August 2014 with KISS.

In July 2002 two X/Ten album promo shows were played at Mall Of America and The Quest Club.

They have also played at the Minnesota State Fair in St. Paul five times in 1993, 2000, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

The Xcel Energy Center was then played again in 2016.
