DEF LEPPARD x JOURNEY Tour In DES MOINES, IA (Show Report)

Def Leppard played another show with Journey on the 2018 North American tour last night in Des Moines, IA with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 16,285 capacity Wells Fargo Arena.

The band last played Des Moines on 24th April 2017 on the Summer Tour 2017.

The 11th known show the band have played in Des Moines and fourth time at this venue which was opened in June 2005.

The first visit to Des Moines was in June 1980 at Veterans Memorial Auditorium on their debut American tour supporting Ted Nugent.

They returned after 12 years to the same venue in December 1992 for an In The Round show on the Adrenalize tour.

A seven year gap followed before the next show took place in August 1996 on the Euphoria tour. The first of four appearances at the Iowa State Fair.

Four years later in June 2003 they returned to the Veterans Memorial Auditorium on the X/Ten tour.

The second and third Iowa State Fair shows took place in August 2008 and August 2011.

Wells Fargo Arena was played for the first time in August 2012 on the Rock Of Ages tour with Poison and Lita Ford.

The next show here took place in August 2014 with KISS on the Summer Tour 2014 and then again last year.

Iowa State Fair was played again in August 2015 with Styx and Tesla.
