DEF LEPPARD Elysian Pale Ale Beer (More Details)

Def Leppard 2018. Def Leppard/Elysian Pale Ale

More details have emerged of the possible Def Leppard Pale Ale beer that was first mentioned in January.

'Def Leppard Pale Ale' is now said to be launching soon in conjunction with the Elysian Brewing Company who based in Seattle.

News of the IPA version was first posted on 19th January on the blog called 'My Beer Buzz' and this was followed up with a posting of the label and that "launch news" would soon follow.

Now the Tenemu website have given details of a Pal Ale that will be released in 16-ounce cans.

The My Beer Buzz blog who posted the original news have also updated with these new details.

Joe first launched his own Down 'n' Outz beer in September 2010 in conjunction with the Porterhouse Brewing Company in Dublin to tie in with the 'My Regeneration' album.

He later launched an IPA beer called 'Joe Elliott's Louder Bangin' Strong Ale' in April 2014. Sadly his partner in both beers, Oliver Hughes, passed away in 2016.

Elysian & Def Leppard Collaborating on Def Leppard Pale Ale

While it might be April Fool’s Day, the newest collaboration between a craft brewer and a popular band is no joke.

According to a label filed with the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB), Elysian Brewing and the band Def Leppard are joining forces on the appropriately named Def Leppard Pale Ale, a 6 percent ABV pale ale brewed with British malts and northwest hops that will be packaged in 16-ounce cans. This is the second most recent collaboration between the band and a brewery to come to light, after a label for a beer named Def Leppard IPA was filed by Golden Road Brewing earlier this year.

In addition, there have been a number of collaborations between craft brewers and bands over the years, including Clutch from New Belgium Brewing Co. and the band Clutch, Dragons & YumYums from Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and The Flaming Lips and Punk in Drublic from Stone Brewing Co. and NOFX.

An email sent to the brewery for additional information was not immediately returned.
