On This Day in Def Leppard History - 11th September, the following concerts and events took place. Including a show in Los Angeles, CA during the Pyromania tour on this day in 1983.
The band were joined on stage by Queen guitarist Brian May who guested on a cover of the Creedence Clearwater Revival song 'Travellin' Band'. The official audio recording of the show was finally released as the bonus disc with the 'Pyromania Deluxe Edition' in 2009.

Also on this day in 1978 the band played a show at the The Limit Club in Sheffield. A media reviewer used the phrase Bludgeon Riffola to describe their sound. This prompted them to take the negative comment and use it as the name of their own record label which still exists today.
On this day in 2001 Joe Elliott posted a message online following the terrorist attacks that took place in New York and Washington D.C..
