Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott hosted another edition of his weekly radio show last night on Planet Rock.

This week's show included songs by T. Rex, Ian Hunter and U2.

As mentioned last week Joe attended the U2 show at Croke Park in Dublin last night. Unlike some previous shows attended by Joe and the band Bono did not insert a PSSOM snippet into the show, which was mostly celebrating The Joshua Tree's 30th anniversary. View some photos of Joe and his wife at the U2 show below and a photo by U2 of the flypast by the Irish Air Force as they started playing the album in full.

The full playlist is shown below and a full transcript.

The show is available until next Saturday using the On Demand feature. It is also repeated on Tuesdays at 9pm.

Show Intro

"Hi ya. How ya doing?. It's good to be with you. This is the Joe Elliott show on the wonderful Planet Rock. We have what I consider to be sixty minutes of wonderful music for ya tonight. I was for obvious reasons gonna play some Linkin Park tonight after the sad news of Chester Bennington's early demise on Thursday. But I decided instead I wanna just dedicate the show to him. I've been back and forth on email with a lot of my friends who are very tight with him. I didn't know him well myself but I know people that did. People like Robert DeLeo from Stone Temple Pilots and Matt Sorum who I've worked with in the Kings Of Chaos, were very tight with Chester. So we're gonna dedicate the show to him and ironically we're gonna start the show off with Iggy Pop."

Iggy Pop

" Iggy Pop there with the title track of his 1977 David Bowie produced album Lust For Life."

Terrorvision

"OK we're gonna prime time now. This is Terrorvision."

"And before that we heard from 1993 Terrorvision from their Prime Time EP. It was also featured on their first album Formaldehyde. The song American TV."

Cheap Trick

"Well you can hardly say it was a return to form because they never lost form. That is Cheap Trick from their latest album We're Alright with The Rest Of My Life."

Doctors Of Madness

"OK let the madness begin, this is the Doctors."

"And before that the Doctors Of Madness from their second album Figments Of Emancipation with the most brilliant song Out."

Siouxsie And The Banshees

"I once got Siouxsie Sioux's autograph on a paper plate at Sheffield Top Rank when that band played there. I think she walked past with her spiky hair and I thought aye aye, I know who you are. That is Siouxsie And The Banshees from their album Kaleidoscope 1980. The hit single Happy House."

"You are listening to the Joe Elliott show on Planet Rock. It's time for a little break and when we come back, we're gonna go live with the cracked actor himself."

David Bowie

"And before that we heard David Bowie from an album released on Record Store Day. A double album called Cracked Actor. Essentially a rough and readier version of David Live from 1974. The song we just heard Sweet Thing Candidate and Sweet Thing Reprise."

Ian Hunter

"For me that is the standout track on what is an excellent album. Ian Hunter's latest album Fingers Crossed. the song we just heard Morpheus."

Pat Travers

"Right let's make some magic shall we. This is Pat Travers."

"And before that Pat Travers from his second solo album Makin' Magic back in 1977 with You Don't Love Me."

Ghost

"They are currently on tour opening for Iron Maiden and they are Ghost and that is quite possibly the strangest version of a George Harrison Beatles song that you will ever hear. It's from their 2010 album Opus Eponymous, it's actually the bonus track, it is Here Comes The Sun."

The Dickies

"Well if like me you thought the Ghost cover was kinda weird. Wait till you hear this. This is The Dickies."

"And before that The Dickies from the album Dawn Of The Dickies with the most bizarre but brilliant version of the Moody Blues classic Nights In White Satin."

T. Rex

"Right as Tyrannosaurus Rex changed their name to T. Rex, one of the first singles I ever bought with a picture cover back in 1970. I was nine of ten years old I believe. That version taken from the Bolan Boogie compilation. The first ever hit single for T. Rex Ride A White Swan."

Show Outro

"Well that my friends is about it for this week. It's been a real pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time."

"Until then I'm gonna leave you with this because in a couple of hours time, I'm off to see them live down at Croke Park in Dublin. This is from the album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Of course it is U2 with Vertigo . Until next week see ya!."
