Metal Express Radio - Vivian Campbell Interview Quotes

Second Last In Line Album/Def Leppard

"We are, we've already started writing. At least I've already started writing. I've got some ideas for the next record. I guess in January we'll probably start playing a bit in LA and coming up some ideas. Yes, so there will definitely be another album. It'll probably be the end of 2017 however I would imagine before it comes out because I have some more shows coming up next year with Def Leppard. Vinny's got stuff going on. I know Andy does too so we gotta make it work."

Riverdogs Album/No Touring

"Well again Frontiers Records, after the Last In Line record came out and was reasonably successful. Frontiers Records asked me if I'd be interested in doing another record with Riverdogs. So I called those guys. The brief was however that we had to make it like the first record as much as possible. So we've done it and I gotta tell you it's a good, power intensive record. It really is. There's so much guitar on the record and it's done. We're gonna mix that in January and then we'll deliver it to the label. So I don't know what their release schedule is but again in 2017. Probably mid or early 2017 I would imagine that record's coming out."

No Riverdogs Touring

"I'm not gonna tour with that band. I can't, it's too much. It's too much work. I've got children and I've gotta find a bit of time for myself. So yeah I mean I do love my work. It is very cathartic to me to be able to go out and do it. I love playing live. That's what it's all about about you know but I can't commit to touring with Riverdogs. That's just too much but the record is really, really good. It's gonna be great. It's gonna be really strong and loads of guitar."
