Def Leppard guitarist Phil Collen has been interviewed and says the upcoming world tour could last two years.

He spoke to Tim Parsons of Tahoe Onstage ahead of the G3 tour.

Phil talked about the upcoming January/February 2018 G3 tour with Joe Satriani, guitar playing, playing 'Disintegrate' live, Hysteria success and upcoming Def Leppard 2018 world tour plans/UK show.

The interviewer also says Phil told him about a UK show to be played after the G3 tour.

This may be a one-off event. The time line of between February to May does not suggest any UK festival show.

Joe and Sav's appearance on BBC's The One Show "might" be related (stay tuned). He also says Phil told him the tour could last anywhere from one and a half to two years.

The latest update on the possible US tour with Journey suggests dates would be announced soon without giving any specific date. Vivian and Joe have said the main tour would start in May 2018.

Vivian recently said that Def Leppard's 2018 tour will be played in North America, Europe, Japan, Australia and the UK (in late 2018).

One strong possibility for this UK show could be the annual Teenage Cancer Trust shows held at the Royal Albert Hall in London and organised each year by The Who's Roger Daltrey. The band having hung out with The Who in Porto Alegre, Brazil during the South American tour.

So far two of the 2018 shows have been confirmed on 23rd March (Courteeners) and 24th March (Kasabian). The event usually includes around six shows running into early April. Joe played an event in November 2014 in London alongside The Who linked to the same charity.
