On This Day in Def Leppard History - 3rd August, the following concerts and events took place. Including the worldwide release of the 'Hysteria' album on this day in 1987.

The band's most successful studio album was released 30 years ago today. It reached number 1 in the UK Top 40 album chart and in many other countries around the world including the USA almost 11 months later in 1988.

The album was played in full for the first time during the March/April 2013 VIVA Hysteria! residency in Las Vegas.
