Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Eugene, OR with 17 songs performed.

The show took place at the 12,364 capacity Matthew Knight Arena which opened in January 2011.

The band's first time in Eugene since 2nd August 1983 on the Pyromania tour.

The third show the band have played in Eugene.

The first visit to Eugene was on 28th May 1980 at the University Of Oregon.

A show played during their first American tour as support to Pat Travers.

The eighth show of that tour which also saw them play Portland, Oregon the day after to 11,000 fans.

The second show took place on 2nd August 1983 during the Pyromania tour when they were a few months into their first American headline tour.

The venue was the Exhibition Hall and a notorious incident happened to Rick Savage in his hotel room before that show.

It involved a couple of female fans climbing out of a window and up to Sav's 10th floor balcony.

Read more about that incident as told by Sav himself and Joe.

No word on whether any of those fans attended the show or the Meet And Greet!.

No changes were made to the now usual 17 song setlist.

Due to the length of time since they last played here all of the songs released from 1987 onwards were played here for the very first time. Only six had been played in 1983.

'Man Enough' was played for the 30th time since its live debut on 9th July in Grand Rapids, MI.

Sav wore a yellow cut off top from one of the local sports teams during the encore. Possibly the Oregon Ducks basketball team who play at the arena.

Phil Collen played with Tesla again on 'Save That Goodness'.
