Def Leppard played an acoustic radio session in Moscow, Russia on 24th November 2003 and video footage is available.
The band were playing in Moscow, Russia for the very first time on 24th November 2003, the final show of the X/Ten world tour.
Before the concert Joe, Vivian and Phil visited Radio Ultra for a live interview and acoustic performance as part of their 5 year anniversary celebrations.
The event was streamed live by the station's website.
The original broadcast lasted for 50 minutes. The video has been uploaded to YouTube by a Russian fan in low quality. The video picture cuts out just after the three acoustic songs are played.
The first 25 minutes of the video feature the band talking to the DJ and acoustic performances of Now, Two Steps Behind and PSSOM.
This was the first time a Western rock band had ever played an acoustic session live on Russian radio.
In the interview segments they talked about visiting Russia for the first time, why it had taken so long and various other topics.
Two days earlier in St. Petersburg Phil and Sav visited a different radio station and briefly sang a short version of PSSOM together with Phil playing an acoustic guitar owned by the station.
You may remember watching this video when it was first live streamed and mentioned on the site back in 2003. Two of the original screenshots from the saved 2003 video are shown above.
Since this time the band have been back to Russia once during the 2008 Sparkle Lounge tour in Kaliningrad.
