Def Leppard played a show in Nurburg, Germany during the Adrenalize tour on this day in 1993 and video footage is available.

The show took place at the Nurburgring as part of the MTV sponsored Rock Am Ring festival.

This was the last show of the 1993 mainland European tour and the first time the band had ever headlined a festival in Europe.

It was also the largest crowd the band played to on the Adrenalize world tour with 55,000 people in attendance.

The festival bill also featured The Black Crows, Robert Plant and Lep support band Ugly Kid Joe.

Phil and Vivian had an altercation with Glenn Danzig of the band Danzig backstage. They were also on the bill playing four spots before Lep.

Watch footage of 'Tear It Down', 'Women' and brief Joe Elliott interview as posted on YouTube.

Extra footage of Joe sitting at that same table was used for the MTV show 'The Coca Cola Report' where Joe introduced footage of 'Women' and played an Aerosmith video.

He also chatted to two female fans who had won a contest to meet him backstage.
