Def Leppard Fresno 1980
Def Leppard played a show in Fresno, CA 36 years ago on this day in 1980 and archive video footage is available.
This was the second US show by the band and first to be recorded by fans with two audio recordings in circulation.
One fan filmed the show and released a 10 minute highlights video in 2010 featuring 'Lady Strange' and 'Wasted' plus Pat Travers headline set.
It was later reuploaded (see video below which is the first repost and best quality version by Natasha007 from 2011).
There is a connection to the 2015 tour from this show as the drummer for the Pat Travers Band at the time was Tommy Aldridge.
He went on to play with Vivian in Whitesnake on the 1987/1988 tour and is now back in the band for a third time and will play with them during the December UK tour.
