Def Leppard opened their 2016 Summer Tour of the USA/Canada last night in Pensacola, FL with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the Pensacola Bay Center.

The band's first time in Pensacola since 24th April 2003 during the X/Ten tour.

The third time in this city with all shows here played at the same venue which is nicknamed The Hangar.

The first visit here was for an In The Round show in February 1993 on the Adrenalize Seven Day Weekend world tour.

Last night's show was the first since Joe's haemorrhaged vocal cord injury which resulted in the postponed shows in January/February.

The staging was mostly the same as at the last show in Sunrise, FL and the 2015 tour.

One noticeable change was Rick's new drum riser. The five level riser features parts of the LED video wall. An extension the of large video screen and those either side of his drumkit. The lighting rig was also slightly different but not in a major way.

Only 'Let's Go' and 'Dangerous' were played from the current studio album. Phil suggested they had rehearsed three. Meaning those two and 'Man Enough' or 'Man Enough' and two others.

The reason for this could be that the next single has been delayed until the main summer tour kicks off in late June.

'Man Enough' being the rumoured third single and next song likely to be played on tour (as per Vivian's interview quotes).

A possible sign of this is the band appearing live on Good Morning America on 21st June with the main summer run starting the next day. It seems the likely reason why the new promo video did not appear in time for these May shows. The TV appearance would help to launch the tour and single. Or it could appear before then (stay tuned).

The major setlist change was the dropping of Joe's solo version of 'Two Steps Behind'. 'Let It Go' was played for the first time in 2016 (outside of the cruise).

As another tribute to David Bowie Joe brought back the 'Heroes' tag to the end of 'Hysteria' where he sings a few lines of the song during the outro. "I wish I could swim. Like Dolphins. Like Dolphins can swim.".

Styx rejoined the band for this show which was added to the rescheduled dates being played this month. Their drummer celebrated his birthday at this show. They also played a short medley of Prince and David Bowie songs as a tribute.

Joe Elliott - Phil collen/Dangerous Intro

"Hey hey. Thank you. Good evening. How are you?. It's good to be back in town. It's been a while. Nice to see so many people here tonight. You're gonna get a bit of everything tonight. Something old. Something new. Something borrowed but not much blue actually. We'll start off for ya with something from our latest album which came out just at the end of last year. Mr. Phil Collen. This one's called Dangerous."

Joe Elliott - Vivian Campbell Intro

"Thank you very much. Well, he's here. (Rick drum beat) No, not him. Him. Him here. This one here. The hair may be a little shorter. But it's still him underneath it. This is the boy who puts the fast in Belfast. Ladies and gentleman all the way from Northern Ireland. Will you please make a lot of noise for Mr. Vivian Campbell."

Joe Elliott - Pre Rock Of Ages Speech

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Let's have a look at you. Wow look at that. Looking good and as I said earlier. We would love to come and do this again with you one day. But until then I want you to do me a big favour. Make a lot of noise for this boy at the back here. Stand up Rick Allen. As always he will introduce this next one for ya."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech (Partial)

"Do us a big favour yeah. Don't forget us and we won't forget you. Good night!."
