The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome to the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. It's great to be with you once again. We've got sixty minutes of what I believe to be great music coming right up. I feel very celebratory this week because - having just survived, and I mean that literally, St. Patrick's Day on holiday with a few friends. You can only imagine what that was like. I thought it would be good to start the show off with some classic Irish rock."

U2

"Before that from their latest and best album in years if not best album they've ever made. Songs Of Innocence. We heard U2 with Volcano."

The Struts

"OK so moving on from the Irish rock to some brand new Brit rock. Here's a band that released an album in 2014. In fact their debut album. Had some decent success with it but they have re done the album. They've added some new music which is absolutely stellar and they've put a new coat of paint. Or should I say a nice kind of splash of lipstick and mascara on it. That's a bit of a clue isn't it. My favourite new band of the moment. This is brand new Struts."

Banshee

"I was introduced to that song by a friend of mine that I met at the Ayr Pavilion in Scotland when Def Leppard played there in 1980. That's 36 years ago. He told that Wyatt had already played this on the new music show but I was intrigued and I really liked what I heard. The band are called Banshee and what we just heard there is the title track from their EP Say My Name."

Show Outro

"And that's all I've got for tonight folks. It's been a pleasure as always. I shall be back with you next week at the same time god willing."

"Until then I'm gonna leave ya with one of the classic UK pop rock bands of the 70s. This is The Sweet and Fox On The Run. Until next week see ya!."
