Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Mansfield, MA with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 19,900 capacity Xfinity Center.

The band's first time in Mansfield/Boston since 9th July 2015 on the 2015 tour.

The 14th show the band have played in this city (Mansfield or Boston) and the first show back after a month long tour break.

The 12th time at this venue which has been played under four different names.

The first visit was in August 1980 at Orpheum Theater during their first ever US tour supporting Judas Priest.

They would not return again until July 1988 for an outdoor show on the Hysteria tour at Great Woods (the former name of the Xfinity Center).

The next three shows all took place at this same venue in 1993, 1996 and 2000.

Only three shows have been played indoors in Boston. The first show in 1980, 1981, a promo show at Fleet Center in 2002 and a show with Bryan Adams in 2005 at Agganis Arena

Last night's show featured the same setlist as the one played in May.

Despite the new promo video for 'Man Enough' being released online yesterday, the song was not played.

It did take a while for 'Let's Go' to make it's debut after the single/video were released.

'Let's Go' and 'Dangerous' were the only songs played from the current album. Both played here for the first time.

The staging also remained the same from the May tour leg.

Joe Elliott - Phil Collen/Dangerous Intro

"Thank you. Good evening. How we doing out there?. It's good to be here. Always a pleasure to be here and welcome to what is officially the first night of our 2016 US tour. We did some make up shows about six to eight weeks ago but they were actually from last year. So this is the first night of this particular leg. So thanks for coming. Glad you're here. Good to be here. And you're gonna get a bit of everything tonight. Some old. Some new. Some borrowed. (to Phil) Have you got anything blue?. That looks blue enough. And here to intro one of our more recent compositions from our latest album that came out just the end of last year. Mr. Phil Collen. This one's called Dangerous."

Joe Elliott - Foolin' Intro

"That was this year. This one however goes back a little while to a - 1983."

Joe Elliott - Vivian Campbell Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Well he's here. In a very fetching jacket if you don't mind me saying so. This is the boy who puts the fast in Belfast. All the way from Northern Ireland. Can you make a lot of noise please for a very happy and healthy Vivian Campbell!."

Joe Elliott - Rick Savage Intro

"It's warming up out there. The first of 47 shows we're doing this summer. What a great fucking place to start. You know we've been coming here. You know around this area of the world, Boston. Mansfield, Massachusetts in general. Since we first came to America 36 years ago. And we were third on the bill to the likes of Ted Nugent and the Scorpions [Judas Priest actually Joe....] and then - yeah. And then Ozzy, Blackfoot and Billy Squier. And then you people picked up on us and then all of a sudden we were the headliner act. And thank god and thank you. We still are. But it all started way way back. It's 36 years since we first came to America. But it's 39 years. Go back 39 years. Who was alive 39 years ago?. OK so we've got some people of our generation. Which is great. Who wasn't alive 39 years ago?. This is what we always wanted. I once saw the Rolling Stones and there was like a 10 year old, his Dad. His fucking Grandad and his Great Grandad. How cool is that."

"But go back 39 years years when we were all kids. And one night. One late summer night 1977. A young boy. A young man came round to my Mum and Dad's house to have a look at my massive and very extensive record collection. And we'd been watching what was going on around the UK. There was these new bands sprouting up everywhere. The Clash. the Sex Pistols. And there were bands like Thin Lizzy and U.F.O. already breaking through and we saw this going off. And we thought how cool would it be if we could put our own band together. And see what happens. Well, 39 years later I'm very proud to be able to say that that young boy who came round to my Mum and Dad's house, all those years ago, is still my best mate. Ladies and Gentleman Mr. Rick Savage!."

Joe Elliott - Pre-Rock Of Ages Speech

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Just look at this lot. Can we turn some lights on these people so they can see themselves. Turn round. Look at you. Look at YOU. Amazing. What a great way for us to start this tour. We wanna thank you very much for that. And what a noise we're hearing out there by the way. Don't let it stop. Don't let it stop."

"I mentioned earlier tonight how it was 39 years ago when we first started this thing off. And anybody that's followed this band from the beginning or even picked up halfway through. You'll have - you may have read that - or you just know. When you've been around for as long as 39 years. Shit happens. You go through ups and you go through downs. But you stick together and you can do stuff like this. It's magic. And nobody epitomises that spirit more than this boy at the back here. Stand up Rick Allen!. And as always he'll introduce this one for ya."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech

"Mansfield. Boston. Massachusetts. Thanks for having us. Thanks for coming. Thanks for being here. We'll see you next time goodnight."

"Oh yeah. Thank you. Thank you very much. A real pleasure. Thanks. It's a great way to start. Appreciate it. And everybody else has got a lot of work to do. Once again thanks for coming. Until next time. And there will be a next time!. Do us a big favour yeah. Don't forget us and we won't forget you. Goodnight!."
