The show took place at the legendary Nippon Budokan (Martial Arts Hall).

The band were now in Japan for their first tour of the country since 1993 having played six shows in South East Asia to start the Slang world tour.

This venue had been played for the first time in June 1993 during the Adrenalize tour.

They played three nights here on that tour and they came back on the Slang tour to play another two.

The total number of shows at this venue now stands at 8 after more shows in 2008 (x2) and another in November 2015.
