Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Pittsburgh, PA with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 23,000 capacity First Niagara Pavilion.

The band's first time in Pittsburgh or Burgettstown since 24th August 2014 on the Summer Tour 2014 with KISS.

The 19th show the band have played in this city and 11th time at this venue.

The first visit here (in Pittsburgh) took place in July 1980 at the Stanley Theatre as support to Judas Priest along with the Scorpions.

They would return here to play two more support shows with Ozzy Osbourne (August 1981-complete with 'urinating on own fans' incident...) and September 1981 with Blackfoot/G-Force.

The first headline show came in June 1983 on the Pyromania tour at the Civic Arena.

This venue would then host two In the Round shows in January 1988/November 1992 on the Hysteria/Adrenalize tours.

Since then 11 shows have been played in Burgettstown at First Niagara Pavilion.

It was first played in September 1993 as the Coca Cola Star Lake Amphitheatre. Now on its fourth name of First Niagara Pavilion with the band first playing here under this name in August 2011.

The two other shows happened in March 2003 at Peterson Events Center and July 2003 at Heinz Field during the X/Ten tour.

The setlist remained unchanged.

The show was packed with a possible crowd of 23,000. A local reviewer quotes a security guard as saying it was estimated to be 16,000 but to him looked much larger than that.

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Can we just have one more look at you lot out there because this is - what an amazing way to start the weekend. We'd like to - we'd really love to come back and do this again with you one day. We've been doing it long enough for you people. You've supported us for a very long time. We appreciate you from the bottom of our hearts. Thank you so much for your support over the years. As you may know if you've followed this band for a while. It's kind of had its ups and downs. But nobody epitomises the spirit of rising up more than this boy at the back here. Stand up Rick Allen!. And as ever he will introduce this one for ya."
