Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Milwaukee, WI with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 22,000+ capacity Marcus Amphitheater.

The band's first time in Milwaukee since 5th July 2011 on the Mirrorball tour.

The tenth show the band have played in this city and sixth time at this venue.

The first visit here took place in June 1980 at the Milwaukee Arena as support to Ted Nugent.

The first of four indoor arena shows in this city.

The second appearance here was in November 1987. An In The Round show at Mecca Arena during the Hysteria tour.

This was followed by another In The Round show at the same venue on the Adrenalize in November 1992.

Following their first appearance at Marcus Amphitheater in June 1996 they played the last arena show at US Cellular Arena during the X/Ten tour in March 2003.

All appearances since then have been at the Marcus Amphitheater.

The setlist remained unchanged again and the show was another hot one as referenced in Joe's speeches.

This show was part of the annual Summerfest that takes place around Milwaukee and includes many different venues hosting concerts. Other acts taking part elsewhere on the same day included Garbage and...Sir Mix-a-lot.

Joe Elliott - Phil Collen/Dangerous Intro

"Thank you. Good evening Milwaukee. How we doin'?. How we doin'?. It's good to be back with you. Nice to see so many people in here tonight. Let's have a look at you. Look at that. Awesome. Give yourselves a round of applause. This is gonna be a hot one. You're gonna get a bit of everything tonight as well folks. Some old. Some new. Some borrowed. Here to intro one of our more recent songs from the latest album Mr. Phil Collen. This one is called Dangerous."

Joe Elliott - Vivian Campbell/Armageddon It Intro

"Thank you very much. We're cooking out there. Well look who's here. (to Rick). No you can wait a little while and no more jazz please. No more jazz. This is not a jazz gig it's rock and roll. This here boy from Northern Ireland. Is indeed the boy who puts the fast in Belfast. Ladies and Gentle man can you make a lot of noise please for a very happy and healthy Vivian Campbell."

Joe Elliott - Rick Savage/Rock On Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. I keep looking because it really does please us to see this amount of people in here. Considering how many times we've played here. I've almost lost count of the times we've played here [see above Joe...]. But it's always been a welcoming crowd for us and we really appreciate that. God bless you all. We first played round here about 36 years ago. And we opened up for Ted Nugent and the Scorpions. We were third on the bill. 30 minutes and we got introduced to the American audiences. And we never looked back."

"Now that's 36 years. Now go back 39 years. Who was alive in the summer of 1977?. Some of our peeps. That's good who've been around for a while. Who wasn't alive in 1977?. Now there you go. You see there's the new generation coming through to keep this thing we call rock and roll alive and kicking hopefully. Because many, many years ago I went to see the Rolling Stones and there was a kid about ten, and his Dad, and his Dad. And they were all singing Jumpin' Jack Flash and I thought fucking hell, that's cool. That's very cool. I hope that happens to us one day. Here we are."

"But back in the summer of 1977 this young kid came round to my mum and Dad's house to have a look at my enormous record collection. Dirty mind. You have a dirty mind. And we got talking and we realised that we had something in common. There was a lot of great things happening in the UK in '77. There was bands like the Pistols and The Clash. There was also Queen, Thin Lizzy, AC/DC, U.F.O.. That's who we grew up loving. And we got talking and we kind of said to each other wouldn't it be great if we could put a band together and just see what happens. Well. 39 years later I can honestly say, with my hand on my heart, that that young 17 year old kid who came round to my Mum and Dad's house is still today my best mate. Ladies and Gentleman Mr. Rick Savage."

Joe Elliott - Pre-Rock Of Ages Speech

"Don't stop on our account. Those lights. Remember it used to be lighters now it's all cell phones. Let's get 'em up in the air. Let's have a look at them come on. Look at that. It's like fucking Christmas. It's better than Christmas. That's a beautiful sight people thank you. Wow. Look at that. Well we could stay here all night just looking at that if ya want. But I think you might prefer that we did a couple more songs. That aformentioned 29 years that I was talking about earlier on has gone pretty quick. But it hasn't gone without it's challenges. And I think the one of us that has kind of overcome the most so far is this boy at the back here. Stand up Rick Allen!. And as ever he will introduce this one for ya."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech

"Milwaukee. Thanks for having us. Thanks for being here. Thanks for coming. We'll see you next time. Goodnight."
