Def Leppard played a 2016 Summer Tour show last night in Tinley Park, IL with 16 songs performed.

The show took place at the 28,000 capacity Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.

The band's first time in Tinley Park since 5th September 2015 on the 2015 tour.

The 24th show the band have played in this city (or Chicago/Rosemont).

The first visit here took place in June 1980 at Rosemont Horizon as support to Ted Nugent on their very first US tour.

A further two shows were played in July 1980 at Aragon Ballroom with Scorpions.

The first arena show took place in April 1983 as support to Billy Squier.

A run of five In The Round shows followed in 1987 (x1), 1988 (x2) and 1992 (x2) at Rosemont Horizon during the Hysteria and Adrenalize tours.

The Adrenalize tour also saw the first show at this venue in August 1993.

Last night's show was the ninth time playing at Tinley Park under the third different name.

The setlist remained unchanged again.

The new album cover design curtain was used again but hung upright and not at an angle.

As you can see another hot show with a nice sunset.

And as you can tell from Joe's speeches some interesting activity going on in the crowd around the Thrust stage.

Joe Elliott - Phil Collen/Dangerous Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. And good evening Chicago. Tinley Park wherever you are from tonight. It's good to be here. On this a - look at this. Look at this crowd. Give yourselves a round of applause. Look at this. Saturday night. Awesome. How we doin'?. It's good to be back with you once again. Thanks for coming. You will this evening get a little bit of everything people. Some old. Some new. Some borrowed and somebody's smoking weed Phil because I forgot what I was gonna say. Oh I remembered. And here to intro (Phil waves smoke away) it's fucking strong isn't it. Jesus. Here to intro one of our more recent compositions from the latest album. I think this guy's called Phil Collen. Make some noise for him. This one's called Dangerous."

Joe Elliott - Vivian Campbell/Armageddon It Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. Oh yeah. Well look who's here. (to Rick) No, not you. You come later dear. (as Rick plays cymbals) And stop with the Jazz shit. Must be the weed getting to your brain. I can still smell that stuff. What the fuck is going on. Is it legal here now?. No, not like in Denver then. Thank god there's no cops in right. Here's a boy that's avoided the cops for 30 odd years. The boy who puts the fast in Belfast. All the way from Northern Ireland can you make a lot of noise please for a very happy and healthy Vivian Campbell."

Joe Elliott - Rick Savage/Rock On Intro

"Thank you. Thank you very much. How we doin' way up at the back?. How about you guys upstairs, up top?. How ya doin'?. And over here. And over here. And how about here?. You see we keep coming back often. there's a good reason for that. You. And we have been coming for a long time. We first came to Chicago in 1980. 36 fucking years ago. Opening for Ozzy or the Scorpions in 1980. You guys have always been good to us which is why we always keep coming back. And as I said that was 36 years ago. But go back even further. Go back 39 years. Who was born in the summer of 1977?. Who was alive in '77?. Plenty of you. Good, still with us. Who wasn't born in 1977?. Ah you see there's a new generation coming through and we thank you for it."

"I once saw the Rolling Stones with a young kid and his Dad and his fucking Granddad. And I thought I hope that happens to us one day. And lo and behold here we are. But back in the summer of 1977. A 17 year old kid came round to my Mum and Dad's house to have a look at my very large...record collection. You've got a dirty mind you have. He came round to look at my record collection and we got talking. And we were watching what was going on, especially in the UK, but everywhere, there was a lot of new bands coming out. There was bands like the Pistols and The Clash. And there were bands breaking through like Queen and Thin Lizzy and U.F.O. And we realised we were on the same page and we said to each other what if we tried just for a laugh. Let's put a band together and see what happens. Well 39 years later I can honestly say, with my hand on my heart, that that young 17 year old kid is still my best mate. Ladies and Gentleman Mr. Rick Savage."

Joe Elliott - End Of Show Speech

"Tinley Park. Chicago. Illinois. Wherever you are from tonight. Thanks for coming. Thanks for having us. Thanks for being here. We'll see you next time. Goodnight!."
