Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott hosted another edition of his weekly radio show last night on Planet Rock.

This week's show included songs by Ian Hunter, Winger and Last In Line.

Joe also paid tribute to Jimmy Bain who died last week and thanked those who stood in for him at the second cruise concert. The only Def Leppard show he has ever missed (as referenced below).

The full playlist is shown below along with a few of Joe's on air quotes.

The Joe Elliott Show - Quotes

Show Intro

"Evening all and welcome. It's the Joe Elliott show right here on the wonderful Planet Rock. Coming to you this week from dry land. Well, actually it's raining, but it's terra firma. We are in Miami, Florida after a week from hell on the Hysteria On The High Seas cruise. First of all the weather was so rough that we couldn't dock at any of the Islands we were due to dock at. I lost my voice but more on that later on."

Rick Savage/The Tubes

"So that leaves Rick Savage the only member of Def Leppard to have played every single show. I shall always be forever the guy who's one short. So I'm gonna sulk and play my second favourite song of all time."

Show Outro

"Two different bands. Same producer. Mr. Roy Thomas Baker both those epic pieces of work. The latter being Queen from the album Sheer Heart Attack. Roger Taylor having some high rise fun with Tenement Funster. And before that from the album Futurama in 1975 we heard Be Bop Deluxe and the wonderful talented Mr. Bill Nelson pretty much running the whole show there with a song called Music In Dreamland."

"And that my friends all the way from Miami, in the rain, is about it for this week. Hopefully we shall get back on to an even keel by February. It would be nice to be able to not announce that somebody else has passed away. I'm looking forward to just a very ordinary show next week. So until next week see ya!."
