Kerrang! 1600

Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott has been interviewed in the latest issue of Kerrang and mentioned the 2016 tour plans.

Issue 1600 of the magazine contains a review of the band's recent show in Birmingham, England during the UK tour.

The show took place on 12th December 2015 at Genting Arena.

Alongside the review a little feature called Star Shout contains a couple of quotes from Joe. One of these says the band will be on tour until October.

This is a reference to the upcoming main North American tour which is due to start some time in June. Recent US summer tours have run from mid or late June until mid to late September. The 2007 tour ran from late June until early October.

The band play 13 US shows in January/February before a one off festival show in May. Other dates before June may be announced and will have to be juggled with Vivian's Last In Line tour dates.

Kerrang! 1600 - Joe Elliott Interview Quotes

You've been on tour forever already, any end in sight?

"We'll be out until October 2016, but we will take breaks - let's not be stupid; we're not 21. It's not just a physical thing - we've all got home lives to juggle. Some of us would like to do the school run occasionally."

Are there any bands who can 'do' arenas like you still?

"Rock's gone underground again, like it did before Bon Jovi broke out. But I know one band that could - The Struts. They're great!."
