Def Leppard 2016 Summer Tour Announced With REO Speedwagon/Tesla

Monday, 29th February 2016

Def Leppard 2016.

Def Leppard have today announced their 2016 North American summer tour with REO Speedwagon and Tesla.

45 new dates have been confirmed for the tour which starts on 22nd June and runs until 10th October through the USA and Canada.

The tour will start in Mansfield, MA at the Xfinity Center and end in Cedar Rapids, IA. Tickets are on sale from Friday.

Among the new dates is an extra show added to the May tour leg - in Huntington, WV.

The band will return to the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA for the first time since 27th October 1988. The last show of the Hysteria world tour and last with Steve Clark. A number of other cities are being played for the first time in many years.

55 shows have now been confirmed for the rest of 2016 after the three shows played in January. This will be the first major tour since Joe recovered from his vocal problems in January that were caused by severe laryngitis. For this reason there are more spaces between dates and no three-nights-in-a-row as on recent tours.

The band played 59 shows in the USA last year from 23rd June in Tampa, FL to 17th October in Jacksonville, FL with Styx and Tesla.

They will continue to support the self-titled Def Leppard studio album released on 30th October 2015 at these shows. To date two songs have been played in North America - 'Let's Go' (x8) and 'Dangerous' (x1) - the only new songs to have been played from the album so far.

REO Speedwagon and Tesla will continue supporting the band after they were recently confirmed to play the last six shows of the nine that were rescheduled to May. View all tour dates below.
